Here’s a wee round up of things that happened over the last few months…
Early June had a couple of nice gigs with Dorec a belle, Balintore Inn and then the Seaforth Inn Ullapool. Opening night of Euro Champs if I remember rightly, so an audience there really to see footie, but we won them over and a night of craic then did ensue…just don’t mention who parked the camper , where and indeed when…# The band then retreated to an old cottage situated on Little Loch Broom where we began writing new material for the next album. Middle of June back to the Market Bar with Woodentooth, trying out new material and just generally enjoying ourselves rockin owt.
July 17th myself and my esteemed friend and colleague Robin Abbot accompany Liza Mulholland on percussion and guitar respectively for The Women’s Tea Party held at The northern meeting park. The songs played were from Liza’s soon to be released ‘Fine and Rosy’ solo album.
22 July Hootenany’s Woodentooth once again, supported by American duo ‘Hymn for Her’ . A superb night of very memorable music. T shirt’s bought and vinyl acquired also!
27 July Rehearsals begin with the lush rollers for fast approaching gig at Belladrum!

10 Aug Dorec a Belle play the Merchant Hall Edinburgh as part of Edin Festival. Great gig, everyone firing on all cylinders motivated I’m sure by festival vibe and amazing venue and staff.
11 Aug Royal Mile busking debut with Dorec a belle.
13 Aug Merchant Hall Dorec a Belle lunchtime gig.
4 Sept Hootenany’s Inverness one off gig with Davy Cowan. 3 piece band , myself Robin Abbot and Davy blast through some of his best Known stuff!
